There will be a practice spelling “pre-test” on Thursday, and a spelling test on Friday over these words.
This week in Reading we are learning:
Combining Vowels with Vv, Ww, Xx, Yy
Reading words with short vowels
Introduction of long vowels
Phonics rules: Y is a consonant when it is the first letter of a word. If it is at the end, it is a vowel.
We will be having a Phonics Test on Thursday and a Reading/Listening Comprehension test on Wednesday. The Phonics test will cover consonants Bb through Xx
This week in Math we are learning:
Clocks and telling time
Number stories
Subtraction
Adding and subtracting with pennies
We will be having a math test next Tuesday!
